While awaiting to fly to Clark, Philippines from Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, I video taped the condensation from the air vents on the Air Asia flight. In some cases, people thought the plane was on fire until someone had to explain it was only the condensation from the humidity in the system

how do i get from Singapore to Kota Kinabalu airport in malaysia besides flying? (ie ferry)?

Question by ASIANsoWHAT: how do i get from Singapore to Kota Kinabalu airport in malaysia besides flying? (ie ferry)? how far is the airport to Mt Kinabalu? thanks=)

Best answer:

Answer by MS5MILESYou can get to KK airport ONLY by flight. No ferry service unfortunately. From KK airport (MAS and Air Asia) will take around 3 hours to reach Mt Kinabalu national Park, that’s if you rented car from the airport directly to Mt Kinabalu. Otherwise take a taxi or bus to KK city and take another bus/ van/ taxi from Kota Kinabalu bus/taxi/van terminal at Bandaran Berjaya.

Anything, feel free to email me.

Q&A: What does those numbers located at both ends of an airport runway mean?

Question by Jason: What does those numbers located at both ends of an airport runway mean? Recently, I went to Sandakan. Our aeroplane flew past Kota Kinabalu International Airport (BKI). I noticed that on the airport runway, there was a number 20. In Google Earth, I also noticed the same number 20. But now both sides of the runway has a number. 20 on one side and 02 on the other side. I also checked Sandakan Airport on Google Earth and its runway also had two numbers. 08 and 26. What is the use of painting those numbers on the runway? And why for each airport the numbers differs?

Best answer:

Answer by Josh CIt’s the runway number. When a plane requests clearance to takeoff or land, they’re given a specific runway to do it on.

Departing Kota Kinabalu At Dusk

Taking off from Kota Kinabalu International Airport (BKI) runway 02 on board Royal Brunei Airlines flight BI 826 to Bandar Seri Begawan (BWN) in Brunei Darussalam. Our flight had a slight delay, but we made it before it got totally dark! Night lights of cities are always so beautiful! This video could have been much better if our pilot only turned the plane once above the city center. Here, you can see that he turned the plane once we were over Sembulan. Oh well, it is still quite an exquisite view, ain’t it? Now you can really see the runway lights of BKI at night. Best viewed in the dark! Recorded Friday, 23rd October 2009

Kokol is a great place to fly, maybe its not as gud as Maninjau, but its tremendously awesome.. we can feel the different and challenge that pilot should or must try… the thermal from hill and flat land can XC hundreds km…
