What to see and how to travel in Borneo?
Question by Aidas: What to see and how to travel in Borneo? Hi,
I am planning to make a trip to the Malaysian part of Borneo some time in July, spending 10-15 days in Borneo. I found that there are some cheap flights from Singapore to Kuching and to Kota Kinabalu. Now, I have a plan to come to Kota Kinabalu, travel through the whole Borneo, seeing all the towns, jungles and caves on the way and then fly back to Singapore from Kuching. Or vice versa
What I want to ask is:
Do you know what are the ways of inexpensive travelling from Kinabalu to Kuching? I know that there is a bus from Miri to Kuching, but, couldn’t find a way of travelling from Kinabalu to Miri. Is there a bus, or a ferry? I dont want to use a plane, since it’s not as interesting…
What are the places worth seeing in Borneo? I want to see the nature, caves, jungles, islands, some towns, that are not filled with tourists.. I don’t want anything that is expensive (e.g. would require a travel with an aircraft of a long taxi ride), no rafting, and no guides or travel agencies..
Do you thing that it is sensible to travel throughout Borneo in 10-15 days? Maybe I should choose either Sabah or Sarawak?
Best answer:
Answer by Cat LoverEnsure to bring a good company to bed as the place is quite boring & there’s nothing much there.
