Entry from: Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia Entry Title: “Spring Break!” Entry: “I created it effortlessly to Kuala Lumpur. Considering that the city center is about a half hour away from the airport and I had an early flight the up coming morning, I made the decision to just sleep at the airport. I located a good spot on the floor and slept there. I had an simple three hour flight into Kota Kinabalu. I located my guesthouse, which was nice, grabbed some lunch and waited to get picked up for my proboscis monkey cruise. It was about a two hour drive to where the cruise would take spot and it poured the complete way there. We walked to a deck area in which they served some snacks along with tea and coffee. By the time we had been done with the snacks, the sky had cleared which was great for the cruise. We saw lots of macaques and a lot of proboscis monkeys in the trees. The males are the ones with the really huge noses and bellies. The greater the much better for the two! We also saw water buffalo along the way. When the cruise was over, we had a good dinner back at the deck region. Then we went back out on the boats to see the fireflies. We came across 1 tree that looked like a person had turned on Christmas lights. It was wonderful! Soon after the fireflies, we headed back to the bus for the ride back to Kota Kinabalu.
